Headline: "Small retail business increases sales after applying principles learned in a business planning seminar".
That just sounds too good to be true right? The fact of the matter is that companies of all types, and sizes and stages of development can gain tremendous value from a review of their business model and an analysis of the effectiveness of their strategies. The impact of this effort usually translates to increased sales and improved profit margins. In addition, businesses with a well developed business model and clear strategies have a greater chance of getting financing from banks and venture capitalists than those that don't.
On Friday, Jan 14, from 8:30 to 11:30 the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a strategic business planning seminar as part of the Leaders' Retreat in Kansas City. The cost is only $30 to members of the Manhattan, Junction City or Wamego Chambers. John Altstadt, a local business executive with over 30 years of management experience, and currently the General Manager of Florence Manufacturing is leading the seminar. This session will provide proven methodologies for analyzing your business model and developing effective strategies to win in the marketplace. It will also cover important aspects of how to insure execution of your strategies, and how to eliminate common roadblocks to success. There will be plenty of real business case examples and a workbook documenting key points and examples.. The cost is only $30 to members of the Manhattan, Junction City or Wamego Chambers. This seminar is being developed as a prototype for what we hope can lead to a broader forum in which leaders within our communities can share their business expertise with other business leaders in a meaningful and cost effective manner. Our local communities house an incredible number of very successful business leaders who possess a wealth of knowledge. This mini seminar forum, focused on specific topics can provide tremendous value to any business leader willing to take the time. This is the kind of practical help that your Chamber of Commerce can provide to make your membership more meaningful.
So sign up today and let's see where this takes us. Contact Carol Moore at carol@manhattan.org to register before January 7th. Please sign up early, because seating is limited.
