Florence Manufacturing continues to dedicate itself to providing secure postal specialty products built to the latest USPS standards. We are the only manufacturer authorized to provide "F" series cluster box units, outdoor parcel lockers and replacement pedestals and parts to the USPS since they awarded Florence Manufacturing their single-source contract for outdoor delivery equipment in 2005. We are also pleased to have been awarded the USPS Quality Supplier Award in 2003 and 2005 as well as the prestigious USPS Supplier Excellence Award in 2006. Having received a significantly above average score on its 2008 USPS audit places Florence as 'one of the best in class'.

While we are extremely proud of our seven USPS equipment contracts and three supplier awards received over the last 10 years, we are equally proud of our commitment to our local community. Dedication to local organizations is the cornerstone of our Community Giving Program. Florence Manufacturing is proud to assist organizations and programs that improve the quality of life within our area. Our employees also banded together in 2007 to more than double their personal giving from the previous year to the local United Way. Our campaign set the community standard and challenged other businesses to increase their giving as well. This dedication to a suburb community organization was shown by our employees once again in 2008.

In addition, we are also very pleased with the progress we have made on our corporate environmental impact. Having recently reduced our factory carbon footprint by implementing advanced process technology in our powder coat ovens and product washing units, Florence Manufacturing was recognized by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) with a Pollution Prevention Award during the 2009 Kansas Environmental Conference.
We also remain dedicated to maintaining a successful recycling program which ensures the appropriate reuse and/or reprocessing of our aluminum, corrugate, powder paint, wood, and steel materials as well as office waste such as paper and toner cartridges. In addition, Florence has a team of committed employees who vigilantly review our systems for continuous improvement and opportunities for reduction in raw materials and/or recycling of used materials.
But we are the most proud of our dedicated employees. Without hesitation, our outstanding team donated generously of their time and goods following an EF4 tornado that struck our community on June 11, 2008. While dealing with their own weather related recovery efforts - as nearly every car in the company parking lot was destroyed by softball size hail the week prior - our dedicated team not only put in extra hours at our facility to ensure production was not distrupted, but into the area clean up efforts as well.
